Paid In Full!

All set now! We are paid in full so we don't have to worry about the final payment date when we are on our planned Road Trip. We are slightly disappointed we won't be going to Istanbul, Turkey but we do understand the unrest there and why many tour companies will not go. We will have the extra three days in Athens and there is plenty to see. I have a list of things to choose from. I definitely want to take a day trip to Corinth.  There are other day trips to the various islands, exciting choices!

Not Surprised

Today we got a call that the Istanbul portion of our trip has been canceled.  We are not at all surprised. We suspected this would happen. I have already looked up several things to do from Athens and we will spend the extra time there. We got such a fantastic deal on our airfare, it wouldn't pay to try to change it. So we will not make it to Turkey after all... We will fly through there, maybe that counts?  

We Did It!!!

So today we did it! We put down a deposit for this Greek Island Tour! We are pretty excited. In addition, we will add on a three night extension to Istanbul just to get a taste of Turkey. This trip is next year so we have plenty of time to dream ahead and plan. We were looking at various Greece tours and cruises when some friends we have traveled with before came home from Greece raving about this tour. It seems like the perfect fit because we want more time in the ports than a cruise typically provides. I feel confident in Go Ahead Tours because our friends have used them three times with satisfaction! Feeling blessed!

The Tour

OK! I think I found a tour that will work well for us from Go Ahead Tours. This is highly recommended by some travel buddies. It takes us into Athens with tours and then on to other islands. We would get more than a one day cruise ship stop on various islands, which is really nice. Could it work our for 2017 in spring? I hope so!!! It would be super to add Turkey before or after that but we'll see how the budget works out!
